I am im"yh due to have fraternal twins yom tov time.
My doctor is telling me that 50% are induced at 38 weeks and the other 50% go into labor between 36-38 weeks.
I want to hear from other mums what their experience was as I'm due at a tricky time and would love to be able to be best informed.
How early were your twins born and what type of twins were they?
TIA

True in my experience
Drs would not let me go past 38 weeks
With my first set I went into labor on my own at 37.5
And my second set at 36

This is interesting.
I was told that 38 weeks was the max doctors allow twins to go

I’m also surprised at the ladies who were supposed to be induced at 39 weeks

My doctors were adamant about not going past 38 (and it was 2 different experiences in 2 different countries)

37 week induced. Because they told me that twins cannot go past 37 weeks. Induction because no signs of labor.

My doctor told me 38 wks IS full term for twins. I could have easily gone longer; I wasn't in labor. He insisted it wasn't safe. Only went 1 day past 38 because it was a fast day.

My water broke at 35 weeks. Girls were born about 8 hours later. Twin A was 2.300kg and twin B was 2.070 so she was in the NICU for 2 days. We went home after 5 days once she got her weight up

Went into spontaneous labor and delivered at 33 weeks.
My doctor had told me they wouldn't let me go past 38 weeks, but I never got till there.

38 weeks is considered full term with twins. Many doctors let you go till 39 weeks.
