He was very anti Israel, (not that I remember his presidency, I was a baby when he left office, but from what I’ve read, accused them of being an apartheid state. Very pro arab,

The first time my parents voted Republican was when Carter ran for reelection against Reagan.

Mainly because Carter was anti Israel.

Also horrible economy

And showed weakness when Iran took 50 Americans from US embassy hostage.
