Depending on the day...
Today crappy. Instead of entertaining my kids who are off I'm letting them watch and play themselves.
Wish I had the patience to sit and play with them Sad

Kinda crappy. Baby was sick, I'm sick, financial issues despite doing everything "right", tons of work to do. On the bright side I got to have some good sufganiyot.

terrible.
Im sick with strep, not reacting to antibiotics, dr worried to give me stronger as im preg. I still have to continue working.
dd3 has fever since Wednesday, only today an ear infection has started dr said prob a result of the flu, so hoping now things will improve for her- if she reacts to the antibiotics she also has a history with not reacting, and I can get some sleep at night.
DH is working so hard between work, child care and trying to help he is falling apart and falling behind with work.

I was looking forward to chanuka and spending time with the kids as a family each evening. I hope the older kids just look at the fun time of the week

Really hard. I can't believe this is my life. I married as an older single and couple months after it was over already. Don't want to go into it but bH that was over relatively quick. I went through other traumas as well. Im single and suffering all the time. Emotionally. I just can't anymore. It hits harder during yuntif orbreaks off from work

IYH it should only go up from here!
my sil was in your situation 7.5 yrs ago, also only married at 29/30 after a broken engagement and divorced within a yr after being abused and suffering from a mc. BH she is now a mother of 4 including twins, married to someone who absolutely adores her.
It is someone who if they wouldn't have gone through what they both have, would never have agreed to meet with each other.
IYH for you too!

sorry for those struggling. may Hashem hear your tefillas and bring your yeshua bekorov .

we turned down all invites for Chanukah party's and are enjoying hosting small numbers (literally 2 or 3) here and there and mostly being just us, sitting by candles ,davening, singing. bh bh
I've also finally figured to serve either latkes or donuts at lighting about 3:45 here, which is prepped before so I can sit properly with candles and make and serve dinner later about 6:30 after I've had time to Daven
took years of practice to get this right BH lol lol
gut chanukah

First chanukah alone and divorced recently.
Lonely, sad, crying all day and had only 1 party....I never knew chanukah would feel to me worse than tisha baav

Super! I had just a couple of latkes on Shabbos, skipped the chocolates, latkes and sufganiyot at the parties I went to, and am feeling virtuous and happy. Fortunately the parties were all brief so there was no issue with hanging around with these things calling my name for hours.

I also made sure to have a glass of milk and a sizable veggie salad just before each of the parties, so as not to be overly hungry on arrival. That made it possible to pass on the calorie-laden goodies.

If I don't necessarily lose weight over Chanukah, at least I won't gain. And that's almost as great a miracle as finding that one little sealed container of oil.
