I work full time because I have to. Without my salary we would not make it and as it is, we are almost drowning, living month to month even with my salary.

Neither, because I've just been fired! My ideal job would be part time, allowing time for myself and my family. Probably I'll take what I can get, and hope to be able to get good hours when I'm more settled.

Work full time because I have to but if my finances drastically improved I would still keep working just less. I need the structure it gives me and the intellectual stimulation. Thanks ADHD if I don't have a lot of structure I will just sit on my couch and stare into space and do nothing all day.

I work full time because I have to.
If I wouldnt need to I would work a few hours a day to feel fulfilled but not especially in the area I work in now

Combination of both. I would likely choose to work less hours if I didn't need the money. I find I never have time for doing things as I work fulltime.

I recently started working because I wanted to. I liked it but had to quit after half a year because the job was very physically exhausting.

My husband salary can cover our monthly expenses bh. I work because our kids are young and now is the time for us to save. I know I will stop working eventually. As long as it's not too hard on me/my family I will work so we can save. Is that considered wanting to or have to?

Both.
I have to - our finances are better with the additional income and we can spend/save more.
I want to - I can’t sit at home unproductively all day. Nothing gets done and I feel depressed. I do wish I could work less hours though.

I work because I want to. Or rather, because I should want to. When I didn't work, I wasted hours every day. I use my time a bit better now, but I would definitely prefer a life of leisure. I work very part-time, so my salary doesn't contribute all that much to the household income.

In my own personal life experience, and I will stress MY OWN EXPERIENCE, I have almost never encountered a mother of young children who works full time or close to full time who truly has zero other options. Very often, by making other sacrifices, they would technically be able to get by even if they worked less, but it is their personal preference not to make those sacrifices and instead they choose to work full time.

I have to. I resent having to because my DH doesn't work hard enough. If he was more hard working I would not be resentful even if I still had to work in order to make ends meet. If he was making enough for me to have a choice, I would love to work on my terms, when and how I want to.

Do the other options include the husband leaving kollel or his klei kodesh job?
