My 4 month old baby has cradle cap on his scalp and on his face and forehead. His skin is extremely dry and he has red splotches on his cheeks that come and go. I tried removing the cradle cap but it keeps on coming back. He seems uncomfortable and he scratches his head a lot. My Dr isn't concerned but I would love to get a good cream. Any recommendations?

Any eczema cream should be good- I use Cicalfate (Israel) and its amazing.
I'm sure there are good one's everywhere.
look out for allergies or food sensitivities though- that is usually the underlying issue.

My 6mo also scratches his head a lot, also has dry skin. I use Aqueous calamine cream on his scalp. He also had some eczema patches around his chin/jaw, so using a mild steroid cream for that.
I'd leave the cradle cap btw, sometimes the more you touch it, the more it plays up.

And use mittens as much as possible to avoid scratch marks - once there are open wounds, there's a chance of infection...

Use dandruff shampoo a few times and the cradle cap shouldn't come back
