Rachel Ziegler is a problematic casting for multiple reasons
1) she’s Hispanic which kind of ruins the whole vibe of “Snow White” since part of what makes her beautiful is her skin that’s pale as snow (not pretty in my opinion, but the whole story is based on that)
2) she has made some offensive remarks about the original Snow White movie. Considering that this is the movie that made Disney famous, og Disney fans take it quite personally. She had some very woke attitudes about the whole character. Wanting snow ehite to do the saving instead of being saved. Saying being kissed by the prince was stalkerish and weird. She also said she hated the original
3) Disney originally canceled the dwarves and picked 7 people with different disabilities to be more PC but it was so hated that they had to switch it to CGI dwarves
4) Rachel is pro Palestinian while gal gadot is a Zionist, ensuring that neither party will want to watch the movie
There’s more but that’s all that’s coming to mind at the moment

I haven't seen one yet and I'm going through the top comments.
One idiot said something like, "maybe I'd watch it if they'd cast a Palestinian," but he/she/it has no likes.
For what it's worth, the trailer is up to 30K likes and 756K dislikes.

Rachel isn’t black. I don’t remember where she’s from, I want to say Colombian but I’m not sure. Definitely Hispanic

I disagree. The CGI dwarves are terrifying. Her costume looks like a Halloween costume. Her hair looks like a helmet. It’s not good when the “fairest of them all” looks less pretty than the evil queen. She could have used some makeup.

According to wiki, her mother is Colombian and her father is of Polish descent.

Rachel Zegler is white. She says so herself. Her father is white and her mother is Columbian but light skinned. The backlash is less about her skin color and more about how much she seems to hate the original story.
Gal Gadot is gorgeous, but really such a bad actress 🙈
This movie doesn’t look good.

1. It's not really part of the plot or the story. It's something explicitly stated in the film, but it isn't a more substantial change than what they did with Cinderella.
2. This one, I really think it's Disney's failure. They always media train their stars and tell them exactly what to say. Did she really go rogue? Or did the marketing team make a mistake and then throw her under the bus?
3. That was, frankly, really stupid of them. What about that would be more PC? If anything, it's exactly 7 times as offensive.
4. I think they're banking on the majority of people not caring enough. Which is usually correct. Starbucks hasn't gone out of business.

The first point doesn’t really bother me enough not to watch it. It’s slightly irritating but isn’t a make it or break it for me.
I’m not sure what happened with her and Disney. If they let her say what she wanted, it was a really dumb decision.
Agree about the offensiveness of hiring 7 people with disabilities. It also upset a lot of little people actors who would have loved the roles.
As for your last point, I think they’re banking on people hate-watching more than anything at this point

Most people are actually upset that they cast Rachel to be Snow White and Gal as the stepmother because Gal is blatantly way more gorgeous and that goes against the entire core storyline

Alright, I watched the trailer on silent, so I could judge the body language. Gal is a perfect evil stepmother. Snow White is frighteningly skinny and very childlike, and should have been cast as Annie sooner than as a banished, adult princess.
I think it's funny that they revived Shrek's magic mirror character.
The animation is deliberately cartoony, and I'm not sure why.
Why didn't they hire 7 real dwarves?

Peter Dinklage (famous dwarf actor) said it’s offensive in spite of most dwarf actors saying it’s not.
