Anyone know what the going rate in lakewood for an average office job is? I have around 4 years experience doing data entry, case work, basic bookkeeping etc. No degree. I have been out of the workforce for a couple of years taking care of my babies and looking to go back. I’d do medical billing, bookkeeping, data work or anything that would pay a decent salary. Just trying to figure out if it’s worth it. Wouldn’t be able to work more than 9-2:30,2:40. Can I still get a decent salary doing those hours? Would companies allow me to just do some night hours here and there to get a better salary. How do people make it work? I need it to be worth it for me after paying Babysititng costs. (My other kids I’m sending out anyway) Any insights appreciated!

More than $25 I would think the hard part will be finding for the hours you want to work. Starting salary for girls coming back from seminary is $27 already

If you do bookkeeping you can get $40-45 an hour to start and yes you should be able to find those hours

$25 is high school graduate salary from what I know. I know someone getting $30 out of high school. That’s why wondering what the most I’d be able to get/ask Don’t mind any boring jobs or anything just something that makes it worth it for me to work after taxes and babysitting fees etc. Anyone in the recruiter bussiness that knows? Or anyone that recently looked for a new job?

Thx for those that replied. Wondering how woman work more than those hours. If I have to do pickup from playgroup, most don’t go past 3pm. And paying for such extended hours cost a lot more money. Does everyone really work that long hour? Also, can anyone tell me what the yearly salary for such hours would come about?

Many work those hours. Those working longer usually have husbands in kollel who can watch kids from 2-4. Or kids all bigger in school for longer.

I make about 50k 22 hours a week

Most women do work those hours, it's just not necessarily easy to find.

@amother pearl, that’s a very good salary for those hours. Do you have many years experience or degree etc. I heard medical billing pays very well. Is that still true? Or that’s back during covid.

I have 14 years office exp (not specialized)- 3 in current job, got small raises. No degree. Medical billing pays well esp if supervisor. I am not in that field. Bookkeeping pays very well.

Thx for your reply @amother pearl. I’d consider bookkeeping or medical billing. Don’t have experience spec. In billing but willing to learn. Anyone in that field and know what the average it pays? Obv. Can’t start as a supervisor I’m assuming.

Like I said bookkeeping you can for sure get 40-45

Billing prob less but it goes up with experience

Look in BP weekly for job listings

For billing I would guess you can get $35 but you'll have trouble with the hours you want to work. Other people either pay for extended hours or daycares or their husbands do drop off and pick up

@amother charcoal, my husb was saying he heard I can make tht from medical billing but from the responses above I thought not. Can I ask why you left it? 9:45-2:45 for 60k is very good. Did you have many years experience?
Should I be applying through the voice/bp or recruiters
