Aliyah to Yerushalayim

Living in Yerushalayim would be my dream. Is it even feasible to dream about?
We have kids of all ages, charedi lite, English speaking.

I know yerushalayim is expensive, we don’t have a very high budget.

Is there any way to make this work? Any up and coming communities within yerushalayim for new olim.

We would be making Aliyah, don’t live in E”Y now

You have to specify what your budget is to get a real answer.

There's no new communities in Yerushalayim, but if you have a house you can sell in chutz l'aretz, and are willing to downsize, you might be able to make it work.

A very important thing to keep in mind is that there really is not Haredi Lite in Israel, particularly in Yerushalayim. Generally speaking, there are very few, if any, exact matches to the American categories of frum identification in Israel. Israeli haredi is not like Lakewood or Monsey. Similarly, American Modern Orthodox has little similarity to Dati Leumi in Israel. You may find some parity in RBS, Afula, or Rehovot, but elsewhere, haredi here is far more intense than in America.
