My friend ,who's an experienced kindergarten teacher, was asked to mentor an incoming teacher and she wants to know what she should charge per hour.

yes it is. And it is a wonderful thing for new teachers that the school is providing the guidance of experienced teachers.

I doubt the mentors in our school are getting less than $40/50 and I would’ve be surprised if they are getting more

Jealous of this. If I had a mentor when I was a teacher I would probably still be teaching. I was wholly unprepared and quit early in my career.

Yes
The school hires the mentor and covers the cost.

The mentors I know in the frum world don’t charge per hour, they charge a lump sum for the entire first year. A close relative is paying $2,500, however this mentor doesn’t discuss discipline or classroom management. The deal is that she is purely there for curriculum development and instruction in the classroom.

Most schools split the cost with the new teacher.

No advice, but maybe change your title to include for mentoring teachers. I almost didn’t click on the thread cuz it looked like another one of those posts where people are asking how much they can make an hour.
