Not at all. It falls apart quicker if you peel it.

Optional. I peel it because that’s how my kids like it. But I actually love eating it with the peel. Just needs to be washed well

I scrub the outside gently off and keep the peel partially on
only drop it in the last 30 min of cooking

Most of the vitamins are in the peel. Just wash it well.

I never peel. I wash it and cut into rounds. Stays whole in the soup.

It can have a bitter taste with or without peel, but most of the time it shouldn't
the peel keeps to together in the soup. I do it that way even if the peel won't be eaten
