Hi all!
I’m interested in getting a color palette analysis but have heard mixed opinions on its value. Some say it’s not worth the money and isn’t based on anything concrete, but I’ve noticed I do look better in some colors than others. Since I’m not an expert, it’s hard for me to judge, and sometimes I only realize midday or after spending a lot on an outfit that the color isn’t quite right for me.
Can anyone recommend a trusted professional who really knows their stuff and is worth the investment?
Thanks in advance!

If you’ve noticed that certain colors look better on you, why do you need a color palette analyst to tell you? Seems like most people do a good enough job figuring out what colors suit them on their own.

Thanks for your question! I totally get the concept and notice that some colors do look better on me, but since I’m not an expert, I don’t always trust my judgment. Sometimes I’m unsure if it’s really the color or if other factors—like my makeup, sleep, or even lighting—are affecting how I look that day. Also, there are colors I love that I think look good on me, but I wonder if my personal preference is influencing my opinion.
A color analyst would give me a clearer, more objective understanding of what truly complements my skin tone and features, so I can be more confident in my choices.

I’m fair skinned, brown eyes, red hair. No clue if I have warm or cool undertones! Whenever I try those quizzes, my answers are some and some! |
Do you burn or tan? Is your hair more orange, red or auburn? Do you have pink cheeks?

If you have a personal preference, why does it matter whether it’s the “right” or “wrong” color? Wear what you like!

I'm a big fan, it eliminated so much decision making and clarified my personal style and streamlined my wardrobe. That's even though I always knew what basically looked good and especially my makeup colors were already spot on- they ended up matching my swatches.
Just impulsively bought something non returnable from a sample sale online because I knew it was my material, style and cut. Online reviews said quality and fit were good. Done.
(Edit it arrived and it's gorgeous and perfect for me)
Palette is more than colors, it's also style. Textures. Even metals. Jewelry. Home decor etc

If they're worth the money would partially depend on how much is being charged

If you're not good at this on your own, for sure go for it.
Chana (Claudia) Goldreich (is she still doing makeup and color pallettes?) and Nechi Gudelsky do this.

It's not so much about “right or wrong” but more about finding colors that truly complement me. I might like a color, but if it washes me out, I’d rather avoid it. It’s just hard to be objective on my own, and a specialist could offer a more accurate, unbiased perspective on what enhances my look.

Just did an online color palette and I came out as "soft Autumn"
Anyone have any advice based on that?
OP, maybe you would want to start with a free online test?
You upload a picture...

I'm also curious about this!!
I've tried the online testing and depending on my makeup/sheital/lighting/angle I get different results every single time

OP- it sounds like you want to do this. If you can afford it, go for it. It is no different than asking is a spa worth it, is going out to an expensive dinner worth it, is going to a show worth it?
If you have the disposable income and you want to-then do it. It doesn’t make sense to me, but I do things that aren’t “worth it” to you.

That makes a lot of sense.
Any recommendations?

I burn
I was regular red but after 20 years of being covered it’s somehow more blondish red.
Yes some pink

I don't know. I wear a very light frosty pink lipstick and some people tell me it's too light. But I don't care. I love the way I look in it. Every time I wear a darker shade I don't feel as pretty.
