We all do it in our community- men, women, and children.
It is yet another Tishrei expense…
and unlike kapparos which can be shared, it’s one hoshaanos bundle per person. They can’t be shared or re-used.

Interesting! We all do it too (not because we hold the kids have to, but they think it looks fun). But we all share one set.

I've always been given a set my whole life but no one really taught me what to say if I can't handle reading the whole long thing.

Can someone please tell me WHAT and HOW you’re supposed to do with hoshanas? My husband has been bringing me for years, yet I have no idea what to do with them. Too embarrassed to ask at this point, too deep in lol. Was figuring I’ll wait till my son grows up and ask him jk.

But really, please advise? I’ve never been to shul on h”r.

Excuse my ignorance. What is the difference between klapp and schlug? I thought they both mean to hit.

you say הושענה נא it’s in the machzor.
And when you klap you say kol mevaser, and hit hard so leaves fall off. And then say the yehi ratzon after.
And you klap 3 times . Not five.

I do tashlich on RH. I’m getting home 5pm today so I didn’t think there was time but that’s a good point that I could have done it then

There are 3 pages to say (if you have an Artscroll siddur, page 796). Then, you say 3x while you hit

Kol Mevaser, Mevaser Ve'Omer

And then you finish with the 3 sentences of Hoshia Es Amecha U'varech Es Nachlasecha Ur'em V'nas'em Ad Haolam.... (the hitting verse 3x and the last paragraph on page 800 in Artscroll siddur eitz chaim).

And finalize with yehi ratzon.

My girls just say Kol Mevaser and the last paragraph.
