Where can I go for help getting sized and new quality bras? I haven’t gotten new bras in years and now since my last child my size has gone down and nothing fits. Lakewood area but don’t love shopping in frum store. Is this something Nordstrom/macys does? What’s the best place/brands to look for?

I know you said you don’t want to go to a frum store but have you ever tried Myself Lingerie? I switched over there about a year ago and literally love that place! Store is stunning, the fitters are non Jewish and so far I’ve had great experience with all of them. They also sell many different accessories and gifts that I always want to buy for myself every time I walk in. Smile

How do fittings work there? They guess your size by looking at you? Do they help you figure out if it looks right once you try on? I don’t think I’ve ever been properly fitted.

Depends on the place. Ive been measured in some places, looked at in others. And you can have them check the fit of the br@

They've really gotten good in recent times. I remember as a teen, they would give me the wrong size cuz it technically fit. Now, the fitter in macys told me they dont carry my size (after trying on one size lower which didnt fit) and that I need a specialty store. I was very impressed.

I was very disappointed with Nordstrom. I went (need a front closure bra due to a shoulder problem) and they did not have one item to show me.

They should measure you with a tape measure, and I assume they will assess the fit once you try on a bra (unless you object).

I really like tafi. I no longer live in Lakewood and still go back there to get my bras fitted. If you go when it's busy it can be overwhelming, so try to go at a quieter time. They eyeball you to estimate size then bring you bras to try and check again after it's on. They'll bring you different bras until you get a good fit. I also like that they can do alterations if needed to get a good fit.

in the frum stores, they are so skilled.
they can usually tell your size by checking your current bra size and how it fits what your current size should be.
Saposhtoo is really my favorite, but I would use tafi as well. I tried myself lingerei once. The fitters weren’t jewish and they weren’t as determined for the right fit like the frum women are.
