I’ve been talking to a salesperson at a faux jewelry store and she claims that she never imagines that the Diamond tennis necklaces are real since she sees so many buying them at her place…
So I’m wondering…

Real diamonds in a small heart. Nothing huge and not a “tennis” anything. I’d rather real and simple than glitzy and fake.

Mine's real but it's not tennis. It's the bar one that was the in thing some 3 years ago.

I don't own a diamond necklace. I have a small heart pendant with maybe 10 or 11 teeny diamonds, total weight can't be more than 1/20 carat, if that, but they're real. I don't do fake. Even if Jackie Kennedy and Barbara Bush did. They were rich enough to wear fake. As my mom told me "You're not rich enough to wear torn clothing." Nor am I rich enough to wear fake jewels.

No tennis necklace here. I find that tacky. I have Diamond solitaire pendant that I for as a gift from my parents 25 years ago for my 20th birthday. Classics never go out of style

I voted fake.
I do have one real knecklace I wear very rarely. Otherwise I wear very cheap fakes and change often. I get so many compliments. When they get old they look fake but new they look amazing. And at$2-5 it’s fine.

I have a diamond heart pendant that is real but the majority of my ‘diamond’ necklaces are CZs & I get plenty of compliments on my costume jewelry!

I got pearls at my wedding and they were completely out of style a year or two later. Sitting in my drawer. Don’t own any real necklaces.

I have a fake diamond solitaire that I wear for weekday, and a real diamond pendant (received during engagement) that I wear for shabbos. I don't think I would get a tennis necklace, either real or fake. I have an understated real diamond tennis bracelet from my engagement.

Pearls are never out of style! If you match them with the right outfit they look incredible. They will look dowdy based on what you wear, IMO.

Mm, disagree. In my days and in my chassidish circles, kallahs were given perk necklaces in the yichud room and married women all wore them Friday night. Today you don't really see perls that much, not Friday nights and not any other time.
