For anyone familiar with medication for bedwetting for children:
1. Does it take affect right away?
2. Does it fix the issue, or only works as long as you take it?
3. Is it safe? Is there anything to be aware of?

It doesn't fix the underlying issue.
It's generally pretty well tolerated but there is a risk of it causing too much fluid retention.

since you sound unsure abt meds are you looking for ways to still solve the issue? if yes and if it’s for a boy have you tried karate? (builds up the core) weak core will cause bed wetting. I know someone who son was helped through this bH.

Doesn’t fix the issue.
My son didn’t stop until hit puberty.
It takes time to find the correct dose. My son was large for his age so we had to tweak it until it was enough.
