I'm new to alterations and I'm fixing someone's dress. the sleeves need to be taken in. I mean it needs to be tapered. its too wide.
I don't know how much to charge. can anyone give me a ball park how much to charge? approximately.

Adult clothing:
12-15 with no lining.
20-25 with lining.
Kids more like $8 no lining
My teen dd is starting to do alterations and trying to figure out what to charge. Right now it’s just a lot of family and friends and she feels bad charging so much. So trying to figure it out as well.

I was charged a lot more for taking in a dress. The dress needs to be taken in at the 2 seams on the side only on top. I think there is a lining. I was charged way too much. $40!! I’m thinking of taking the dress back because I don’t think the tiny amount that will be taken in will make much of a difference.
I think $25 is fair and on the more expensive side.
I only agreed to pay this amount because I couldn’t find another seamstress to do the job before succos.
