A friend wants to move to Pomona and specifically wants to be close to a shul that is Modern Orthodox or a light version of Yeshivish. Not Chassidish or Chabad or heavy Yeshivish.
What shuls are the best fit for her family?
Someone mentioned Anshei Palisades, anyone here know what kind of community that is?

There’s a pretty big divide in Monsey between JPF and modox. Which one is she looking for? You mentioned “not heavy yeshivish” but there are only a few pockets like that, most of non chasidish Monsey is JPF.

I think JPF is fine, but not if they are ex chassidish if you know what I mean. That's a culture to itself and not what she's looking for.

As fas as I know anshei palisades is a light yeshivish/ modern orthodox kind of crowd
