Child caught impetigo during first half and hasn’t been able to get rid of it since then. Dr keeps prescribing different antibiotics but after a few days of use the impetigo shows up again n a different part of the body.
There was a strept, then three rounds of impetigo and somewhere in between there was a positive to staph infection.
Right now the dr recommended to do baths with bleach, put muciporin in the nose, and we’re doing a would care cream and oil in each outbreak spot.
Wondering if anyone has experience how to rid oneself?

Im experienced with this. Just put mupirocin twice a day and it should clear up. Antibiotics doesn't help.

I did this for the first breakout and were at fourth. How long after the scars were gone did you continue putting?

We eventually got rid of it with oral antibiotics, mupiricon on the wounds and in the nose, and bleach baths. It was miserable!!

Ask your doctor for Altabax instead of mupirocin, it’s a miracle cream.

Please get a hold from your local health food store something called MRSA miracle. It's an amazing product. All health food stores know this product. You can apply it topically and or take it orally. I gave it orally because the area was a large area on the face.

I would also try and wash all sheets and blankets in hot water to kill the bacteria

Impetigo is so so frustrating.
Like the previous poster said, run to your health food store. There are so many options that will actually help (Antibiotics is repressing it, not actually healing it).
What worked for my kids was the HPA kit, applied topically.
I also gave them Maxi Health Kyolic orally to fight the virus internally.
Refuah sheleima, sending strength.

We’re already doing the HPA trio of oil cream and powder but it’s still spreading. The dr claims that these items help the symptoms (outwardly) but the infection is still in the body.
Wondering aside for bleach baths what I can do. Someone is mentioning kyolic, do the kids take it gladly or does it taste weird?

What finally worked for my daughter (after doing tons of bactroban and oral antibiotics) was vigoirous scrubbing with antibacterial soap twice a day, and applyiing clindamycin gel after.

It tastes very intense, but for adults more than kids. I could hardly stand it but my kids took it okay.
I framed it as no choice; it’s your medicine. It’s a small amount so that also helps.

Dr shanik in Lakewood says that mupirocin/bactroban has to be applied 3 times per day to be effective!
Op also make sure to cut nails short so bacteria doesn't spread when child touches it.

So the mrsa miracle supposedly taken orally helps it get rid of inside the body. Doesn't hurt to try.

I would do mupricon 3 times per day religiously.
Bleach baths
There is also a prescription soap you can request that kills bacteria on the skin.
Is your child taking any medications or has autoimmune disease.
We were treating impetigo for a while at a good local dermatologist.
Eventually switched to CHOP and got much better traction. But it’s related to medication she is taking.

Which antibiotics did you try? Standard amoxil, keflex, omnicef don’t usually work. They treat the strep but not the rash. Ask for duricef if you haven’t yet, usually clears it up. And Clindagel (topical clindamycin)
