My yummy 10 month old son has always been a terrible sleeper. He still has reflux but in the beginning of life it was significantly worse. He eats solids bh nicely but no matter what he wants his bottles. (Has cups and the like). The problem is especially difficult at night. He wakes up and will not self sooth. Bh he's a strong boy and will wail his heart out while I try to calm him down rocking, patting, shushing etc until he gets a bottle. I try not to give in but at the same time- have other kids and they are small and need sleep too. I can't let him scream for hours. He wakes them up some nights even without this. And of course do to the reflux the bottle soothes him to sleep but also wakes him up. I know I know I messed up. But I am trying to fix it. Please help me figure something out to gently get him out of this. Ps he takes pacis but not when he freaks out like that. He'll throw them and spit them out. And shut his mouth till it's bottle time. I've already diluted them or changed them to tea and water. But doesn't help. Thank you for any advice!

maybe its different with nursing (I only have experience with that) but at 10 months it is totally ok to wake up for a bottle/feed at night as long as they go to sleep straight after.
not all babies are able to sleep throught the night without a feed at that young age.

10 months is young. My kids loved bottles until they didn't. At 15 months for one kid we started sippy cups with straws and she liked not having to tip it back. By 18 months my son refused all bottles and preferred regular cups. As long as they have enough food to eat and are drinking water you can slowly ease them out of it. By 2 most kids are done. I only had 1 kid drinking bottles and she had trouble eating. We took it away and did lot of snuggle time.

It's not messed up for a 10 months old baby to want a bottle. That's a normal thing.
