Don't know where to put this, but I keep noticing people shortening "Shabbos" to "Shab" in different posts online. I think it is so disrespectful to Shabbos. Did anyone ask the Shabbos Queen if she wants a nickname?
I was talking to a friend and she mentioned the same thing, and how much of a turn off it is to her.

I’ll often text my sister “hey do you want to come for shab?”
Who cares. It’s texting language.
Can we stop making big deals over stupid things. Thanks

Can we get worked up over things that are actually important?

Do you also think it's disrespectful to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur to be called RH and YK when texting or posting?

It isn't a nickname. Its shorthand. Like Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri. Like s/t w/o e/t. Like ev sing othr abbrev. Used when typing, no one calls it by abbrev, etc. My phone fills in shabbos or shabbat but you need to train the autocorrect.

No one is making a big deal about anything. OP is mentioning something that's on her mind. That's all. Feel free to agree or not, as you see fit.
Imamother website doesn't come with the label, "for use in urgent situations only".

See above. No one is getting worked up.
