I made challah today using the same recipe I've always used. Usually my challah comes out flawless. Today it came out super slimy and sticky? Like I couldn't even braid it, it's just a wet mass on my cookie sheet right now. It didn't seem to rise right, either, almost like it was too heavy and sticky to rise.
Where did I go wrong? I double and triple checked my ratios. I always weigh ingredients, never measure by cups.
