Hi!
Looking to hear what people buy for twins.
I currently have the silver cross- im not sure which type. I think it can be converted into a double but I want to have them side by side.
Mothers of twins- What did you get and why?
I would love a bassinet option but honestly they are due in the winter and I dont think ill be taking them out much so im not sure its necessary.
Also if you had a doona before (which I do) did you get another one? Im thinking ill borrow but if there is a better option let me know!
TIA!

I don’t have twins but have you looked into the bugaboo donkey? (Don’t know what your budget is but you can get at a much more affordable price second hand). I got a third hand one for just a few hundred dollars with 2 bassinets, and 2 seats and I love it. It’s so versatile. You can mix and match between bassinets and seats, face them however you want and if you ever needed it to be a single stroller down the line that works too. Highly recommend!

Used an uppababy vista and doona.
Didn’t get a second bassinet.
Also winter babies.

One of my friends got the bugaboo donkey second hand for her twins. 3 months after then she sold it and bought the city tour double. The donkey was too big and awkward for using in the car, although it did push well.
I think you need to know your needs. Does it need to fold small and be light? Are you mostly walking and want something that pushes well and don't care about the fold or size? Different people will have different needs and different priorities.

I'm honestly not sure.
I don't know what my life will be like post twins!
Can't imagine going anywhere with them lol. Have a bunch of kids besides them.
In the past I have mostly kept my good stroller in the garage and used it for watching my kids outside and taking walks around the neighborhood. For that it sounds like the donkey would be good.
But I had a smaller car stroller for when we went out.
So maybe I should get 2? A smaller one for the car? Does that exist?
Also any leads on where to get a donkey second hand?

The city tour double is good for the car, my friend loves it. Craigslist or ebay maybe for second hand strollers. You might want to wait and see what you want before buying 2, buy one double stroller and see if it works for you and buy a second if you really need it.
You also might find it easier to buy 2 car seats that attach to a double frame rather than trying to use 2 doonas.

I used the baby jogger and was quite happy with it. The truth is, it really depends on your home environment.
Are you in a city or a suburb? If you’ll be navigating busy streets like 13th Avenue, you’ll need something slim.
