Any tips on how to sleep train a 8 month old ( besides letting them cry in their crib)

What's the method like in short? Just got the 12 hours of sleep by 12 weeks..

12 hours by 12 weeks is abusive. Only use if you have absolutely no other choice in functioning

Uses the sleep wave method .. from google The Sleep Wave method is a sleep-training technique for babies that involves scripted, brief check-ins at five-minute intervals after the baby cries. The goal is to reassure the baby that the parent is present without encouraging crying for attention
