I'm wondering about this controversy on boiling eggs in even amounts such as 2 eggs, 4 eggs and so on. I remember hearing you're not supposed to do that. I was also told it's kabalah and not everyone holds this way. Can anyone clarify? What if I boil 2 eggs? I usually don't need more than that
It's such a waste to always have to boil more than we need at that time.

It's at least three. Simple matter of probability. With 2 eggs, if one has a blood spot, there's a 50% chance that any specific one has it. With three, only a 33% probability, and it goes down from there. Probability less than 50% means it's more likely that any specific egg does NOT have a blood spot than that it does, and you rely on that.

I was told minimum of 3, and I know people who hold no even amounts. I always do an odd amount just because it feels off to me to do even. Same like I won’t step over someone, I know it’s probably fine, but it’s a funny feeling to me

I Always heard it must be an uneven number. Something to do with Buttel B’shishim.
