My mother wants to go away with me for 2 days, 1 night. Somewhere within around 2 hours of Lakewood. She likes nature (no major hiking), museums, and low key, non expensive activities. We can bring our own food. I'd prefer to go somewhere a little cooler than Lakewood but definitely not hotter.
Anyone have any ideas of where to go? Thank you!

Deal/ long branch is perfect for this. Hotel on the beach with a beautiful boardwalk/ kosher food and a ceramic painting studio (I love it as an adult!)

This would be great but the wave is 800/night for when I'm looking. Anyone know of any other nice hotels there or similar ideas?

Ocean place. Still costly but it’s a really great location.

Delaware is exactly 2 hours away. Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. There are nice gardens and an old house and tour. Hotel should be cheap but you need to bring food.

what about Dupont mansion or Neumurs. They are on beautiful grounds. Neumurs has gorgeous gardens and trees.
