I was advised to increase protein to help with cravings. When I go online to see how people eat so much protein it seems they use protein products. The kosher cholov yisroel world doesn't have these products and either way Id rather eat real food.
I am allergic to eggs so can't include eggs.
How do I eat 100grams of protein a day?

Cottage cheese - I eat in eggs. But can just take cup cottage cheese with heated blueberries.
Greek yogurt + chia seeds + diced fruit + homemade granola (no oil or sugar)
Lentils
Not for 9 days but turkey is great. Like turkey wraps. Diced turkey in salad.

Low fat cheese tends to be higher in protein. I’d suggest that higher protein consumption will only work in tandem with lower carbohydrate consumption when the intention is lowering cravings.

How do you prepare it? I just bought it, tried it once with just milk and blended in blender. It was nasty. I added ice and crushed it, still nasty. It was so thick and powdery tasting. (I bought the one that doesn't have fake sugars in it but a bit of coconut sugar instead.)
I bought it for myself but also for my very picky 4yr old to try to get some more protein in her. I couldn't even offer it to her it was so bad.
The reviews online were so great I was hopeful.
I'm assuming if I put it into a smoothie it'll mask the powder better but then how many grams will she actually be consuming?

How many grams are you aiming for?
breakfast-protein powder with one frozen fruit and a fat (yogurt, coconut milk/cream). Add cauliflower and spinach for veggies. oatmeal adds a few grams too.
lunch- 4-6 oz of fish-salmon, tuna patties/tuna salad, flounder, sardines. lentils/chickpeas in a salad can add a few grams of protein too.
snack-nuts/cheese with veggies and fruit
dinner-4-6 oz ground meat, turkey, ground turkey, chicken cutlets, chicken legs, ground chicken

the 9 days are impossible to get adequate protein without eggs/meat/chicken.

I can't eat every protein in one day
Cottage cheese is 14 grams
Salmon is 21 grams
Chicken is 24 grams
Nuts 7 grams
That's one day and that's not enough. I also can't eat this every day. |
I never calculated my protein intake, but here's what I typically eat in a day:
Breakfast: Plain Greek Yogurt with heaping tbsp almond butter + flaxseed or chia seeds
Snack: almonds
Lunch: Salad with salmon
Snack: Crackers with chummus
Dinner: Chicken or salmon, sometimes chicken soup, brown rice or quinoa, and vegetables
Keep in mind, many vegetables have some significant protein content. Edamame, spinach, broccoli etc.

Op this isn’t your question, but I also needed to eat a lot of protein for health reasons and discussed it with my rav.
I was told cholov Stam is ok for me. (We’re Litvish, not chasidish, so could be was a lot easier for me to get a heter to be meikel)

How big are the servings for these? cottage cheese serving is usually about 3/4 cup. Double that and you get 28 grams. Don't limit yourself on the serving size and upping your protein intake should be easier.
Also, make sure you are getting enough fat too. That will help keep you satiated and reduce cravings.
