Looking for somewhere to stop at in or around Scranton Pa area for about an hour or two to break up a road trip. Kids ranging 4-14. Is Nay Aug Park entertaining enough? To go on the trail and see the falls and tree house?

My kids age 2-12 really enjoyed the Steamtown museum.
Curious to hear about Nay Aug as we're heading back that way this year.

Nay Aug park has the everhart museum
You can buy kosher food at the yeshivah
You can go on a bridge short walk to see the waterfalls or take the train
Nayaug park has a cafe if you need the bathroom
You can see a trolly at the park and look into a coal mine it’s near the museum
You can Daven at ohev tzedek
The park has a green house but not sure if it’s open
The cafe might be closed on Monday

-And the everhart museum has a jewish art exhibit now. Really good.
-Re kosher food. As of today, it's not in the yeshivah anymore. It moved because the yeshiva is being rebuilt and the building the co-op was in is supposed to be knocked down this month.

There are 2 coal mines. The one in nay aug is recently reopened with tours on weeekends only, I think. Unlesss youc atch a friendly tour guide willing to take you during the week. That has happened.

The other coal mine tour is in McDade park. That is open daily and really worth it. McDade is about 15 minutes from Nay aug park.

I highly recommend checking it out!

I heard that this coal mine reopened recently and gives tours on weekends. And a friend got lucky with her camp group and they got a tour during the week.
