Ds5 is dealing with encopresis/ chronic constipation.
I consulted with a woman who advises in such cases, and she recommended we take our son for cranial.
I'm not into alternative health really, and I'm trying to figure out if I should get past my discomfort and go for cranial therapy. (I'm not even exactly sure what that entails!)
Does anyone have any experience with this? Would appreciate hearing about it.

I went to a gi. We pretty much did clean outs and mirilax. Took a good yr n half n it went away...

Yup. We've gone that route too.
Struggled for months, laxatives, toilet time,, etc... but didn't see strong results.
I scheduled with another GI, in September.
Bt in the meantime, I'm looking into anything that could help.

I don’t mean to derail your thread but if you are in NY area, can you share which GI you went to or are going to? I am looking for GI for Encopresis for my 6 year old.

Definitely didn't see results right away. It actually ended up going away after we got fed up using mirilax. And we decided to take a break. Hatzlucha it's really really hard.

We're scheduled with Dr berezin.
My pediatrician recommended him, but I haven't been there yet, so I can't vouch for him.
The previous one... I do not recommend him.
