After today's tragedy we must take action to prevent this from happening again! This simple yet genius device only costs $38 and will remind you 3 times to check the back seat when turning off the car. Don't wait for another story cv's!!! Purchase one for EVERY car you own!!!

This is not an advertisement. I took an hour googling devices to find the cheapest and best rated one. Please please save our babies!!!!!! Especially It’s so hot the coming week!!

Thank you! We definitely need more awareness and education on car deaths.

I didn’t hear what happened, but will buy this right now! Ds was hiding in the cars trunk Sunday. If I hadn’t heard him knocking idk what to think. I probably would’ve gone home and start bathing the babies and then start calling him. But I don’t lock my doors

Is there anything else? I had the clever elly for a few years but it kind of receded into background noise after a while.

The only real idea I have is to put my pocketbook in the back seat every single trip. Make it a habit. And then you will remember very quickly if you forgot your pocketbook in the car.

But I would love to know about something where there is a blaring alarm from the phone or car if a child is left inside ch"v.

I’m so upset.

Can anyone link the post from last week where people were suggesting different products - including a hook for a purse in the backseat and the cleverelly

There are devices you can put under or in the car seat that detect when a baby is inside and will alarm you on your phone or in the car if they aren’t taken out when you start moving away

Instead of putting your shoe near the babies seat or your bag,
open up the door behind you every time you close your door or now that I have a minivan I automatically , right away open the sliding door behind me.

Make a habit out of always opening the back door, whether or not you have kids, or baby with you.
Yes, it takes an extra minute but it can save lives!

If you use a doona they make a cushion that connects to a smart phone and alarms if you leave the range of the car.

cybex and evenflo seats have optional sensor safe which does the same thing.

There’s a system called ride and remind that appears to be installed under the back seat and alarms if a weight is left on the seat. It can trigger the car horn, which is nice.

Another popular one is called the steel mate, which alarms if there’s weight in the seat and the driver’s seat belt is unbuckled but the weight isn’t removed.

Attach an extra car key to the baby, car can't lock if key is in the car.

I don't understand it. How could a parent forget his child for this amount of time. Just like I I have something important on my mind it's the first to be taken care o.

We were just discussing this exact issue.

My conclusion was that this was something Hashem decided needs to happen.

Parents don’t forget about their kids. Hashem wanted this story to happen so he made the parents forget. It’s like a nes, but not in a good way.

It's a result of sleep deprivation, change in routine and distraction. Beyond heart wrenching.
