Hi All,

My dh has a friend that needed to go to a mental health facility and from there on to a rehab.
This cost tons and tons of money which friends/family have tried covering.
im trying to help him broaden his resources and wondering if there are any organizations out there that would help pay/cover portions for the cost of this rehab.

any references would be greatly appreciated!

Crowd funding. The problem is privacy though. It has to be done in a way that people realize the Pikuach nefesh that it is, yet being sensitive to the patient.

I don't know about crowd funding, but wonder if knows if this can be done anonymously.

I feel for your dh's friend. I had to attend an inpatient rehab but had no way of paying, although my parents and siblings helped as much (more even) as they could. Our Rav, realizing I had to go, it was do or die, told my husband to book me in and he'll see to the rest of the cost.

To this day, I have no idea who paid, and am eternally grateful to him. He dealt with it with utter sensitivity.

Sounds like an interesting idea - Do you have more info?
can it be done even for an adult?

Its so hard when money is factor thats holding a person back from getting better. We are trying our best but are out of resourses.

Why can’t they go to a place that takes insurance?
