How much are you paying on car payment for leasing or buying an suv or minivan if you got the car in the last 3 years?

Want to show DH that the prices for these things are a lot the past few years.

Leasing Mazda 8 seater. Low miles. Not sure if it’s 10 or 12k per year. Pretty basic model paying $500. Look back to the days when my vans were almost half that.

Thanks I should’ve specified 2 row suv. Like the Honda pilot Because we are considering that or a minivan.

Thanks that was what we are quoted and it seems crazy. We own a very old sienna which we paid about $200- month on. Can’t find that anymore

Haha ya I know. $500 a month seems like so much. But I guess everything is going up these days

Ok thanks. So what I’m looking at is really not off base. We are looking at buying a 2021 odyssey payment would be $519. We are just going from a $250 payment on our last car to such a huge jump.

I leased a honda pilot a couple of months ago and pay $600 a month. And that was considered a "deal" bc I got a 2024 when the 2025 had already been released. My 2020 Pilot I paid 375 a month for 🫣

What company and model is your ev-suv? We need to lease a second car with a budget of up to $300/month.

Bought a new Honda odyssey with financing and paying a little over $700 a month over 5 years. Leasing is definitely cheaper than that per month but we are aiming to get 10 years out of the car and hoping to have 5 payment free years.

So we had similar but can’t do 700 a month. As it is $500 is a huge stretch. So we plan to do it for 6 years at 519 a month. Leasing is more than that.

I think you can get a loan for up to 8 years. This was offered to us. That should bring the payment down even more.

We also bought and need to pay that amount in 4 years but put down 15k. Not sure if it was worth it.
