Yes well, Happy Birthday America!!
Apparently the only way to celebrate it is by disturbing everyone around you.

It hasn't been this bad in years, in NYC. Of course with the current politicians, anything goes. Police won't do a thing.

Fireworks should be illegal.
they're so worried about the atmosphere and the climate, let them ban fireworks, not my plastic shopping bags.
not to mention PTSD for veterans and other people with fragile mental health.
Disturbing citizens...
It's 11pm, hasn't stopped for a second since 7pm, enough already.

Is it much better when drunk bachurim sing loudly outside Purim eve and the next night or evening meals in sukkah with loud singing? Do you think non Jewish neighbors have an easy time with their babies and little kids in bed then?
And it does NOT sound like war. You know it's fireworks and aren't scared for your life.

My 7 year old was terrified. And it was after 9pm at that point. Fireworks being done by multiple families near me.
I practiced some dbt skills with her when she seemed she could do it.

This is NOT like drunk bachrim or singing in the sukah.
First of all, it doesn't boomerang in the whole city.
Second of all, singing isn't laod crashing noises, doesn't sound like anything is exploding. Singing doesn't cause people to be afraid.
But hey, whatever floats your boat.

My point was the noise, which isn't letting kids or adults to sleep.
City fireworks were for maybe 30 min? The rest of the time it's neighborhood bored teens.
You know it's fireworks. Unless you have from PTSD from Israel or elsewhere, there's nothing to be afraid. It's beyond annoying, yes.

The problem is I don't know it's fireworks. I know there are fireworks. There's a difference.

Not where I live. They started around 6:30 though ask me what the point is when it was still light outside Rolling Eyes and it’s still going on now though thanks to the rain it seems to have gotten less.
Drunk bochurim singing are not nearly as loud as fireworks, let’s not compare the two.

My point was that the noise is enough to cause people distress, something that your previous examples don't do.
It doesn't matter if you know what it is, the sound is awful. Personally, I think it isn't even that pretty and definitely doesn't compensate for the booming noise.
Another point, only city fireworks should be allowed. Bored teens should not be able to do whatever they please.

People feel safer
More people get to keep their fingers

As if bored teens will stop doing it if it becomes illegal.
What distress does it cause you besides possible PTSD or inability to sleep?
Yes, the sound is bad. So is drunk loud singing to those not in the know.
