Right now what my kids can acesses online is very strict - just a few Jewish video sites like tooveddo, yidflix and etc and Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint. Everything else is blocked.

Ds 11 is a very curious child and loves technology. He would love to be able to do more on the computer. Something tells me that if I don't allow some leyway in this area he's the type of kid that's going to figure out other ways to get online eventually...so I would like to allow a bit more...

What are some other websites or programs that would be ok to allow though? I don't want to have to proofread anything...it doesn't necessarily have to be Jewish but I would need everything on the website to be age appropriate and ok for a Jewish child to read...

I would also allow some games but don't want anything to addictive and etc...

Maybe some sort of coding site? You’d need someone to confirm it’s ok.

TorahGames? I'd give a time limit though. Some of the games are more addictive and less educational. (Nothing like minecraft though)

torahlive.com

alephbeta.org, depending on your idea of age-appropriate. I could see some people feeling it is for older than age 11, but I am comfortable with it. It's all Torah, but on some topics like niddah or childbirth people's comfort levels vary.

Maybe highlights.com. They have cute games, puzzles, find the hidden pictures.

It has integrated image search. Not totally kosher.

He may need some help navigating but if he's curious and interested in learning basic coding, https://scratch.mit.edu/ could be good! He could make games and animations and play with them. It does look like there may be forums which may not be completely kosher (although it is a kid centric site) so you can download the scratch app https://scratch.mit.edu/download
