Earlier this week, I asked my 4 year old ds what we should make for dinner that night. He answered "Pinocchio, Mommy!" I was confused, and thought he was being silly, so asked what we should REALLY make. "Really, Pinocchio, please!" he said, very earnestly.
I was confused, and asked him to describe this Pinocchio: "It's like pasta only yummier, and we made it and cooked it with butter and basil from our garden." I realized he meant gnocchi! (Pronounced ny-oh-kee.) We made it last week, and it was an instant hit...
Thanks, Mishie, for the delicious recipe!
Shabbat Shalom everyone!

And now, after seeing that thread floating around here for months, I finally know how to pronounce gnocchi! Thanks Amital!
