I would love to move to Toms River one day, even though I cannot afford it at the moment, I do keep checking zillow for possibilities. I did notice quite a many number of times where a family purchased a nice home, did renovations, purchased furniture, moved in etc, and then put their house up for sale a year or two later. Why is it that so many families are looking to sell so soon after settling in?

This. I'm living in Toms River for 6 years and I can tell you that it's extremely rare for people to move out after one or two years.
