Can anyone reccomend a hotel in a safe area of detroit for a one night stay for a family of 5? Either near the frum community or downtown?
Is it currently safe to visit attractions in Dearborn like the Henry Ford museum? Where would you reccomend staying on the upper peninsula? I was thinking the Traverse city area looks central but I am open to other suggestions?

I'll leave Detroit for the locals since I haven't been there in many years, but I absolutely loved the Upper Peninsula! If you can visit Mackinaw Island or even stay overnight, it's amazing! We wanted to stay Musining for the Painted Rocks boat tour (which is a must see!), but we found a better hotel deal in nearby Marquette.
