Its not really. There is overlap but its not the same crowd.
I live in the largest Midwest community. Mayaan girls come mostly from the centrist/jpf school that is not a Bais Yaakov with a small group coming from the Bais Yaakov Elementary school.
Agudah Midwest is the left wing and center of the Bais Yaakov elementary school and almost no one from the day school that is considered JPF/Centrist goes there.

The campers from said Midwest community that may be the case. But Baltimore, Detroit, Cleveland campers all attend bais Yaakov.

Right but living in those communities the choices are a Bais Yaakov or co-ed modern orthodox school. So the more JPF crowd picks maayan and the more to the center AMW and the farther right the more yeshivish camps.
I was just saying that there is some overlap but its kind of its own crowd when you separate it out so you want to make sure its a good fit for you.

Mha is right. I live in an OOT city not mentioned above and I send my girls to Midwest camps and girls who went/have gone to MMW, AGMW, MTM and Maarava. There are nuances between each camp and I'd say that Maayan (MMW) is the least BY/most to the left of all of them.
If you want to boil it down to a specific example, MMW gets girls who don't necessarily wear socks out of school and if they do they are short. AGMW gets girls who for the most part all wear socks out of school and often they are knee socks.

Also they have a rule that phones must be turned into the office when you get to camp. My friends who send to AMW, their girls don't own a phone at all until much older. Its small nuances but shows your coming from a different background.

It's been leaning more towards out of town bais yaakov type. Many girls don't actually have phones, rather its for safety while traveling alone. They're most similar to agudah midwest I'm comparison to all the oot camps

I think it was more right leaning in the past, but last year they had a much less bais yaakov-y year. The staff - single and married- is very bais yaakov, same as maarava and Aguda Midwest, but there was a clear and noticeable difference between staff and campers. I’m not sending again.

My daughter has gone to both agudah Midwest and Maayan Midwest. She has chosen to go back to Maayan Midwest this summer. My daughter only wears knee socks does not listen to non Jewish music and has a cell phone with no access to internet email or any of that stuff she has it because she baby sits and needs a way to call the parents when they don’t have land lines. My husband is a rebbe in the local yeshivah and we are yeshivish.
Yes you have some girls that are more left bais yaakov and some girls who are very bais yaakov.
I would say the biggest difference between Maayan and agudah is that Maayan does have more variety of girls but still does have many yeshiva bais yaakov girls.
