does anyone know the real reason why people are not flocking to canvey?
arent people living in small flats with many kids desperate?
if the situation is not going to change why dont groups of people pick themselves up and
build up canvey?
does it have no future?
even with money, are there decent size houses to buy in stamford hill?
does stamford hill have a future branching out to diff areas?

I don`t know if there is a real reason why people aren`t going in droves. Everyone probably has their own reason. Me personally, I`m not yet overcrowded and maybe I would prefer to live cramped in the city than comfortably in a quiet area where there is no action. Also it`s a long commute and is very pricey to keep travelling in to SH.
People are moving, around 6 families moved to Canvey Island in the summer holiday.
Are you considering moving out of Stamford Hill? How much space/kids have you got now?

The people running the canvey community are ultra chassidish and won't accept everyone in their schools

There is canvey and westcliff. Both are chassidish but different chassidus.
Many people love the city vibe, sales every Sunday, cloths shopping... And that puts them off.
Personally, I would love to move somewhere quieter, I don't need the buzz.
I am a homeowner in Stamford hill, but when I look at Rightmove the properties on sale in westcliff or canvey, I think its crazy! You can get a house with a pool for the price of a Tottenham house.
