My baby is on Materna Soy. Started on soy because I had to give up nursing after a week and I felt that soy would be probably be easier on her stomach. Now she's almost 6 weeks old and thinking about switching.

Is the dairy so much healthier and more nourishing? Should I try to switch?

Mazel Tov!
If she has no dairy allergy, why not? If you do switch, stick with only one not to mess up her stomach.

Make sure to consider the fact that there are considerable shortages

Are you considering switching specifically to dairy materna, or just any other formula? Also your location may make a difference. Materna doesn’t seem to be a problem to get where I am, but I think standard formulas (similar, enfamil, etc) might be harder to get, especially specific specialized ones.

Dairy is healthier. Especially for a girl I would not do soy unless she couldn't tolerate dairy. It can mess with her hormones. I can try and link a study later.

So I think I'll switch to the dairy one. Same company. Doesn't seem like it's hard to get where I live

There is still a shortage?

For a few years nobody gave any Formula to my G'mach, for the last few months I have been getting a nice amount.
