While its good she was finally sentenced, Im sure her victims wish that it would have been for much longer behind bars.

I heard that she may be able to serve out her time in Israel to be close to family. I hope that is not true !

Why do you care where she serves her time?

Israeli citizens care. There's no reason why we should pay for her sentence via our taxes.

Well, as an Israeli citizen of over 50 years I can say that I am truly not concerned that my taxes would be covering Leifer's prison stay. I am more bothered that my taxes are covering the fairly luxurious and fun prison sentences of the murderous Arabs with Jewish blood on their hands, who take university courses and eat 3 course meals while incarcerated.
This is not to minimize her crimes. Just to counter this sudden concern for where our taxes are going.
As the say in Hebrew - proportziot.

Agree
That said there's no reason why we should fund a sentence for someone who committed crimes in another country.

She did terrible things, As an Israeli, I have no issue with her being incarcerated in Israel. It may actually deter criminals from seeking a safe haven in Israel, seeing that she did not get away with it by moving here.
