Opened up a package of fish sticks to cook for my grandkids & wow it stunk
I know I SHOULD have thrown them all out then & there but thought I can cook them & see what happens. We’ll, it really stinks and I threw everything out but smell is lingering
Any ideas how to get rid of smell?
I put a pot of baking soda & water on high & cooked for an hour.
Still smells 🤢

Not sure baking soda will work well that way. Try a similar idea with boiling water but put in yummy smelling stuff like cinnamon sticks, cloves, lemon peels etc

Leave a bowl of vinegar out on the counter overnight to absorb lingering seafood smells.
Simmer either vinegar or lemon peels in water on your stove for 20 minutes or so to neutralize the surrounding air, sort of like a natural potpourri. Bay leaves, rosemary or vanilla extract are beloved DIY potpourri ingredients, too.
Or better yet, try simmering water with cinnamon sticks, cloves and ground ginger. It’ll smell like chai. Yummy.
Spray fishy-smelling rooms with Febreze Air for a quick burst of relief. It doesn’t just mask—it actually cleans away odors with OdorClear Technology.

Sprinkle cinnamon on a foil and bake on 350 for ten minutes max.

Cook up in a wide frying pan equal amounts of lemon juice and water, plus a generous sprinkling of cinnamon. This should resolve the smelly problem.
I also walk around the entire area (after repeat reboiling) holding the pan to spread the vapours all over
You will need to keep adding more water and lemon juice as it evaporates with time.
