I watched/listened to it but couldn’t figure out what it was even about 😳. Someone did something amazing (survived something? Some sort of tragedy?) I found it confusing 😳😳😳

Wow, this is so beautiful, thank you for sharing.

I tried to type up the lyrics but it was hard... not sure I got them all right and some I couldn't figure out at all:

I remember when
You were younger then
So innocent
Life could not keep up with you
And you’ll be my dreams
They filled you now it seems
Tell me about it

You and I have stepped
The same broken path
To hell and back
You don’t know it but I do
I’m the only one who knows the truth

Nursing all your scars
Hidden from view
I can spot a few
They tell it all when words fall short
You were hoping for
But now they’re witnesses
To the shattered promises

You came up to bat
You took a hit
You spend your life just getting over it
Picking up your ___ strewn on the field
Asking if your hopes were even real
But here you are
Standing anyway

And just ________ so far
From landing anyway

This one goes out to you
All the bullets you’ve stood brave through
I hope you hear me in my silent applause
Breaking down walls
I know you don’t feel like one
You’re a hero for what you’ve done
For this moment you will be unsung
This one goes out to you
This one goes out to you

You could never explain
The sheer will it takes
To keep your face
From crumbling into ___ of pain
You cannot describe it
What it means to hide it
To fight it

Did you ever think
A heart could scream so loud
Until you’re afraid it’s falling out
No other living soul will _____
It’s only___________ deafening

But here you are
Surviving anyway
Anyway
Fierce fight stops the dark
From landing in your way

This one goes out to you
For all the pain that you’ve passed through
I hope you hear me in my silent applause
Breaking down walls
I know you don’t feel like one
But you’re a hero for what you’ve done
For this moment you will not be sung

The world will never see you up on a billboard
Never name a building after you
And will never see your star on a sidewalk
Saying this award goes to

And those who fought_____ hardest
They may never ever get it
But I’m here to give you credit
This one goes out to you

This one goes out to you
Nobody is proud of you
I’m here, I’ll be your sharing ground
You brought the house down
And though you don’t feel like one
But you’re a hero for what you’ve done
Right now __________________

From youtube, this is Bracha Jaffe's blurb about it:
Nothing in life is handed to us on a silver platter. Every single one of us has challenges. Many are fleeting in the scheme of things, while others are extended battles. Challenges can often seem insurmountable, but we overcome them anyway. These struggles, and overcoming them, make us who we are.

But we don't necessarily need a pat on the back from others. We need to recognize ourselves. We need to celebrate how we plow through life's challenges.

We need to applaud our achievements, not only during obvious triumphs, but even when we take baby steps, and even when we learn from our perceived failures.

Because every challenge is an opportunity, a stepping stone for growth.

Often, at the end of a long day, I'll sing a little ditty to myself, "I made it through another day, I made it through another day, I'm alive, I'm okay.”

How special is it when we get through a difficult day?? Do you tell yourself "I did it! I made it! I plowed through!"? The applause needs to come from within us.

"This One" is my gift to each and every one of you. Give your beautiful SELF time to listen to the lyrics, time to absorb its message and recognize yourself. Recognize that you are deserving of self love and internal praise for all your hard work, sacrifice and perseverance.

I think Bracha said that she would post the lyrics on Instagram and her web site, but I don't think they've gone up yet.

Here's what I hear, filling in the blanks and making a few changes from the previous amother. Thanks so much for typing this up!

I remember when
You were younger then
So innocent
Life could not keep up with you
And your big-eyed dreams
They've failed you now it seems
Tell me about it

You and I have stepped
The same broken path
To hell and back
You don’t know it yet but I do
I’m the only one who knows you truly (?)

Nursing all your scars
Hidden from view
I can spot a few
They tell it all when words fall short
You were hoped for (?)
But now they’re witnesses
To the shattered promises

You came up to bat
You took a hit
You spend your life just getting over it
Picking up your pride strewn on the field
Asking if your hopes were even real
But here you are
Standing anyway

And your scars are far, so far
From landing in your way

This one goes out to you
For all the bullets you’ve stood brave through
I hope you hear me in my silent applause
Breaking down walls
I know you don’t feel like one
You’re a hero for what you’ve done
For this moment you will be unsung
This one goes out to you
This one goes out to you

You could never explain
The sheer will it takes
To keep your face
From crumbling into waves of pain
You cannot describe it
What it means to hide it
To fight it

And did you ever think
A heart could scream so loud
Until you’re afraid it’s falling out
No other living soul will say a thing
It’s only dead quiet, deafening
But here you are
Surviving anyway
Anyway

Fierce fire stops the dark
From landing in your way

This one goes out to you
For all the pain that you’ve powered through
I hope you hear me in my silent applause
Breaking down walls
I know you don’t feel like one
But you’re a hero for what you’ve done
For this moment you are not unsung

The world will never see you up on a billboard
Never name a building after you
And you'll never see a star on a sidewalk
Saying this award goes to

And even those you fought for hardest (?)
They may never ever get it
But I’m here to give you credit
This one time

This one goes out to you
When nobody is proud of you
I’m here, I’ll be your cheering crowd
You brought the house down
I know you don’t feel like one
But you’re a hero for what you’ve done
Right now I'll say your time has come
For this moment you are not unsung
This one goes out to you
This one goes out to you
