If you teach secular subjects do you get a special tuition discount or free tuition? If yes can you please post where you live and what your deal/agreement is? I'm in middle of salary/tuition negotiations and they say "it's just not done" to give English teachers a tuition discount. The Hebrew teachers get a massive tuition break that really adds to their salary..... I'm feeling very unappreciated so trying to find out what's done in other places.

Part time general studies teachers in my school get a 45% tuition break, full time is 90% off.

I'm in Far Rockaway. I get a 50% tuition break. My understanding is all staff get that.

I’ve worked in multiple modern orthodox schools where English teachers get the same break as Hebrew teachers. In 1 school it was 1 kid free and 50% on the rest. Most schools are just 50% plus pretax for the remainder of the cost.

I work in a Modern Orthodox school. All teachers, no matter what subject, get 50% off tuition. (Which I will likely never take advantage of. I don’t have children yet and when I do, I plan on sending them to single-gender schools.)

Hebrew? Or Kodesh?
At TA, Kodesh teachers get a 75% off and general studies get 50% off. At OCA (MO), all teachers get 50% off.
