Are you looking for a way for the breadcrumbs to stick? I know people who always only use mayo.
You can also make a dressing and use that to stick the crumbs.
I know people who also use only oil. They all work.

Do you have mayonnaise? How about coating the cutlets with mayo and then bread crumbs.

What about ketchup? Also should work?

1. mix mayo, ketchup and coat with bread crumbs.
2. 1/4 c. soy sauce, 1/4 c. honey, 1/4 c. oil- soak for few minutes or as long as you can. Coat with bread crumbs. Bake on 350 for 30 min, covered and uncover for another 10 min

I made snitzel without breading for Shabbat. A friend gave me the idea for the recipe.
I used a little oil, tamari garlic and ginger, spread on top, baked for about 20 min. turned, coated the other side and cooked another 15 minutes or so. I probably cooked it a bit too long.
Came out delicious. I'll probably serve it for Shabbat Night dinner with rice and veggies.

You can coat it in Italian dressing, mayo, mayo mixed with honey mustard, duck sauce, etc.
HindaRochel, in America, shnitzel refers to breaded chicken cutlets
Anything else is just chicken cutlets.

Pinktichel, I made your chicken recipe earlier this week, & it was great. It's gonna become one of my regulars, so thank you!

That's what I always thought, but some people I know from other countries refer to any chicken cutlets as schnitzel. Kind of confusing.

Well at least I in Israel have taken to calling the chicken cutlets as schnitzel. But she had schnitzel chicken, not schnitzel at the start, and no eggs. Hey, it is another way to eat "chicken cutlets." Comes out fabulous btw.
