Pls say tehillim for my friend, 26 years old with 2 little kids. She is undergoing surgery on Purim to remove her thyroid after being diagnosed with very rare thyroid cancer.

Pls reach out to someone and give her a mishloach manos in her honor.

I said tehillim and clicked on the link and realized I know who she is. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out. I met her before she was married around 12 years ago.

Refuah shleima!
I don't know too much about thyroid cancers but do know that there is an established protocol - thyroidectomy, then ablating the thyroid with radioactive iodine (which will require some isolation on the part; if she's having it she'll need help with carpools, etc.). It has a very high success rate, and I hope that whatever her full treatment protocol, it goes smoothly and yields a complete and enduring recovery.

(Re ablating the thryoid: this is also offered as a treatment for hyperthyroidism, at lower doses. I am all for this procedure for cancer, but it's an absolute last resort for hyperthyroidism.)
