Is he in the hospital? How old is he?
Keep him away from other people. Wash hands frequently. Do not travel, obviously.
Depending on his age and fragility you might want to get the RSV vaccine next year

She is four months and Bh we are still home. She seems to have a mild cold and hoarseness when she cries. It seems very mild Bh! I am just worried because the doc sounded very vague. I did not get clarity...Bh baby is eating well and seems ok

Raise her crib mattress and monitor her breathing. Was she prescribed nebulizer treatment?
If you see any changes like she doesn't want to eat, her cry is weak, fever, or her breathing labored take her back to the doctor.

Don't use anything without a Dr's instructions. You can call the doctor and ask if you should give saline.

That's great. Be on the lookout for any changes in her breathing or temperature and call dr immediately if that happens.

My 9 mo is getting over rsv now....
I can share what I did and bh it passed ok.
Around day 3-5 is supposed to be the worst.
I nursed my baby as much as he'd take and then some more.
Nebulizer with saline.
Cold air humidifier with a few drops of peppermint essential oil
A vitamin to strenghten the body to fight off viruses called "kiddy v-free" from the company herbari. I gave it 4-5× a day w a bit of juice. Put the drops w juice in a spoon and picked it up w a dropper. (Baby liked it)
And put baby to sleep on a raised surface (firm boppy pillow)
Normally id rock baby back to sleep if baby wakes less than 2 hours from last feeding but these nights I fed him every time he woke.
If you are concerned do not hesitate to call the doctor/emergency line/hatzula.
RS!

Thank you! How did you know when he was no longer contagious? When did you consider the virus to be over?
