The streeetched Gef Fish Recipe
with great thanks to PinkTichel .... and some of my own trial and error
1 loaf of gef fish, any kind, defrosted
2 onions, ground in food processor
2 carrots, ground in food processor
1 very small zucchini (or 2 stalks celery, if you prefer that flavor); I understand Dovid Malka uses zucchini in his fish, or at least he used to
4 T sugar
good shake black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 eggs, checked for blood spots and beaten
3/4 cup matza meal or whatever you prefer
Grind your veggies with the eggs in your food processor and and the seasonings and matza meal. When mixture is fine, add the fish and then place in TWO foil pans. (One can be frozen for another time.)
(Make sure your pans have a little water in them first.)
Cover with foil and bake for at least an hour. Uncover and finish baking until brown.
Alternative: you can bake with tomato sauce

sounds great, but I wouldn't refreeze raw fish - maybe cook it first.

Raisin, it's very cold. Anyway, in American, the refreezing ban on fish and meat was lifted years ago.

I made this for Shabbos this past week-it was a big hit.
And I learn new things every day-that grinding attachment is super cool! 8)

I got LOTS of complaints about it.
I made two loaves and froze one which I am going to bake with tomato sauce.
It had almost no fish taste; more veggies and matza meal ... course the price was right ...
