Someone I used to work with told me she wants to go back for her masters because there is a new program that is funding professional science/math teachers for yeshivas. I don't know who it's from or what it's called. Does anyone know what she was talking about?

AFAIK, the state education budget that allocated a certain amount of monies for nonpublic school reimbursement for STEM teacher costs. Last year was the first year, and funding for this coming school year was just doubled. What this means is now private schools can hire qualified STEM teachers without passing the costs onto the parents, and there will likely be more STEM openings in NYS yeshivas and day schools.

Thanks. But I don't understand how that works. Can all schools get the reimbursement? How much is it? Is there a name for this program that I can look up the details?
