So many people here say that they're contacting Trump, or other politicians today.

Please, tell them to sit their rears back down and work out a deal for funding CHIP. Funding ended in October. If funding is not put in place, an estimated 1.9 million children in separate CHIP programs could lose coverage in January. An additional 1 million children would also be at risk of losing coverage by the end of February.

This is more important than the tax bill that Trump probably isn't signing until January. (If he signs now, it will automatically trigger cuts to Medicare and other programs that are likely to hurt Republicans in 2018. So he's delaying.)

California, Pennsylvania and Florida are among 16 states that will run out of funds by the end of January. Even New York would run out of funds by the end of March.
