I do it once a week.
by then I think babies clothes set the stains. I do spray them, and let them sit, but once I wash the clothes, the stains dont come out.
Are you supposed to wash babies clothing every day?
and if yes, dont you waste a lot of detergent?
whats the best way to get those pesky stains out ( watermelon, peach snapple...)

When an item of clothing gets stained and you don't have a full load to put on, you should wash just that piece by hand. The bulk of the stain will come out right away and then you can add those pieces to your regular load at the end of the week.
The longer you leave the stain the less likely it will come out.
For fruits of the season stains, apparently you can use milk to clean. My mum told me this but have never had the need to actually try it myself.

You only do laundry once a week???? I wash the baby's stuff with everyone else's, and it's definitely more than once a week. I think I do about 7 loads a week, and we're only 3 people! Of course, I only have about 4 things that fit right now...

Beauty, can you soak the really stained stuff?
Can you set your machine for a smaller load and run it twice a week?
Also, what kind of detergent are you using?

another serious option is bibs, or if you're giving them watermelon and the like, take off their clothes! Leave them in a diaper. Skin washes a lot easier than laundry and usually doesn't stain!

I can never get my baby's clothes clean from her poop. I use Dreft baby detergent. Could it be that its not strong enough? Is it ok to use those strong stain removers on a newborn's clothing?

after spraying the clothing, I think u r supposed to wash it right away and not sit for more than 5 minutes or so. maybe that will help get the stain out. I could be wrong though.

When a baby's diaper leaks, it often stains the clothing. I found that if I soaked the soiled clothing (and scrubbed a little) in hot, soapy, water, and got out most of the stain, it would USUALLY come out whenever I got around to really washing it. (we use laundramats, so I can't do loads whenever I want to)
As far as dreft, it definitely doesn't work as well as some of the regular detergents. I believe the recommendation is to use this for the first 6 weeks of the baby's life, since they're very sensitive. Then you can try to wash something of the baby's in a regular load that will be touching her skin - like an undershirt or shirt. Try it out. If the baby's skin doesn't get irritated, it's probably okay for you to wash the baby clothes with your regular loads.

yes, I do use a bib!! lol
its my dh that forgets to use it!! AND he forgets that babe is wearing a nice white outfit!!!
I use shout spray to pretreat, and if its a real bad stain I use nature bright from shaklee ( which I sell)
I also use ivory snow for babes loads.
so u guys think I should let it soak right away?
is ivory snow not strong enough?

Have you tried Oxy clean? I keep a bucket in the laundry room with a mix of oxy and water. When my babies were little, I would dump the soiled item into the bucket and run a load every 2 days. The stains came right out. No scrubbing required. Now I use it to throw in my son's tzitzis. I let them sit for a day in the Oxy before I hand wash them. They come out so bright.

I have seen something called Oxy Clean free. It has no dyes, fragrances, harsh detergents, etc. I have not tried it so I don't know if it works as well as the regular, but worth a try if you're concerned.
